OUR HISTORY

35 years ago, in 1974 Ray Terpstra, our now president and CEO, started a company called RTI Insurance. There has been great debate over the years as to whether RTI stood for Ray-Terpstra-Insurance or Ready-To-Insure, as Ray declares was the true meaning for the acronym. Either way RTI Insurance Services, Inc has grown from a one man operation to the corporation it is today.

RTI has opted to remain an independent broker for the sole reason that as an independent broker our responsibility is to protect the best interests of the client, not an insurance company's bottom line or quotas. We proudly represent some of the finest insurance companies in California from the Mercury Insurance Group to Unitrin, Bliss and Glennon and so many more. One thing has not changed in 35 years - our dedication to our extended family, our customers.

CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT

Our Personal Touch ensures that our customers are getting what they need and more!   

When you call, anyone who answers the  phone will be able to help you, however as a RTI Insurance Service client you will also have one dedicated person who knows you and your policy and how to "pamper" you properly.    Erlena Medina is the happy face our client's see when they open the door, she ensures that our customers are given a personalized response to their individual needs

  Liz Jenkins has returned to RTI Insurance and we couldn't be happier.  As a fully licensed and knowledgable agent, she expertly handles all the changes clients have on their current policies.  This would include address changes, new cars additions, adding or deleting people from a policy. These women are dedicated to ensuring that our customers don't pay one penny more than they need to and are constantly reviewing policies looking for additional discounts.

SALES DEPARTMENT

Trish Diaz, Sales Manager, is our point woman. RTI Insurance Service is a full service agency offering all types of insurance to insure that safety and well being of your most valuable possessions.  Trish is dedicated to making sure new clients receive the right information and obtain the right insurance for them.  She personally oversees the new sales coming into the office. With over 15 years experience, she's seen it all and saves thousands of dollars for our new clients every year.

EXECUTIVE STAFF

The executive staff is rounded out with Ray Terpstra, President and CEO and Kori DeLeon, Vice President of Finance and Operations. Ray Terpstra started this business in 1974 and remains active today.  He is a constant resource for information and insurance legalities.  Kori DeLeon  has worked at RTI Insurance for 16 years.  She has seen (and worked in) all aspects of the insurance agency and works hard to maintain the standard of excellence found at RTI Insurance.  These people are constantly looking at new insurance companies and avenues to save RTI Insurance customers more money than ever. They are a hands on team and can often be found in the daily operation of the business.
